The Bobblehead Hall and Louie Are A Perfect Match

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited-edition bobblehead of Louie, the mascot of the St. Louis Blues, sitting on the iconic Gateway Arch on Friday. The bobblehead is being released ahead of the Blues regular season home-opener on Saturday when they host the Los Angeles Kings.

Each of these nifty nodders is numbered to 2,021 and retails for $40 with an $8 flat-rate shipping charge. Louie, the blue polar bear, was introduced as the Blues mascot on Oct. 10, 2007 following a fan vote on the club’s website.

“We’re excited to be releasing this awesome new bobblehead as part of the Riding Bobbleheads series,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “Louie has become one of the most recognizable mascots in the NHL while cheering on one of the league’s most successful teams. A bobblehead of Louie sitting on the famous Gateway Arch is a perfect match.”

These bobbleheads were produced for the Hall of Fame by Forever Collectibles [FOCO].

My name is Kevin Czerwinski and I am a sportswriter/college professor in New York. I have been collecting bobbleheads for nearly 20 years and have recently become more involved in online chats, swap groups and raffles for bobbleheads. I primarily collect baseball but enjoy talking about and seeing new nodders.
