The Bobblehead Hall Celebrates Opening Day

Major League Baseball kicks off its season Thursday and The Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum marked the occasion with a 22-piece set honoring the defending World Series champions, the Atlanta Braves. The set will also take its place on the Hall’s Wall of Champions.

The Braves World Series Championship Bobbleheads feature the following players holding a replica of the World Series Trophy: Adam Duvall, A.J. Minter, Austin Riley, Charlie Morton, Dansby Swanson, Eddie Rosario, Freddie Freeman, Ian Anderson, Joc Pederson, Jorge Soler, Max Fried, Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuna Jr., Travis d’Arnaud, Tyler Matzek, and Will Smith. The collection also features bobbleheads of World Series MVP Jorge Soler holding a replica of the MVP trophy as well as manager Brian Snitker and mascot Blooper both holding a replica World Series trophy. The mini set of three features Freddie Freeman, Charlie Morton, and Austin Riley in action poses.

The championship bobbles retail for $50 while the over-sized Jorge Soler MVP Bobble and the mini set of three bobbles are $55, respectively. The full set is $1,000 plus an $8 flat rate shipping charge. Each bobble is numbered to 4,000.

“Bobbleheads commemorating the champions have become an annual tradition since the early 2000’s, and they have consistently been among the most popular bobbleheads each year,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “These bobbleheads are the perfect way for Braves fans to show off the love for their championship team, and they will become cherished collectibles that are passed down to future generations of fans.”

The bobbles were manufactured for the Bobblehead Hall by Forever Collectibles [FOCO].

My name is Kevin Czerwinski and I am a sportswriter/college professor in New York. I have been collecting bobbleheads for nearly 20 years and have recently become more involved in online chats, swap groups and raffles for bobbleheads. I primarily collect baseball but enjoy talking about and seeing new nodders.
